In the Marine Corps, Clare served for 8.5 years with 3rd Battalion - 1st Marine Division, 1st LAR (Light Armored Reconnaissance) and as Combat Instructor at the School of Infantry. While in the Marine Corps he received specialized training as a Scout Sniper (8541), HRST Master (Helicopter Rope Suspension Training), USMC Martial Arts Instructor, Radio Communications Operator, and TACP forward observer (Tactical Air Control Party). Clare was deployed multiple times overseas in both peace and war time awarding him operational experience as well as cross training with several foreign forces. He is currently still operationally active conducting over 7 years of high threat protection in Afghanistan under the Diplomatic Security Service of the Dept. of State and Other Gov't Agencies. Clare is also the co-owner of Gunfighter, LLC.
Serving in the Marine Corps for 8 years, Greg was assigned to the Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team (FAST) Company. While there he received highly specialized training in C.Q.B., Long Range Marksmanship, Combat Medicine, Mountain Warfare, V.B.S.S. and Helicopter Bourn Operations. After completing multiple combat deployments, Greg left the Corps. Greg spent the next 3 years working closely with government agencies while conducting protective operations for high ranking dignitaries, ambassadors and heads of state, throughout Iraq and Afghanistan. Additionally Greg Is a multi discipline martial artist, a NRA Certified Instructor, a Associate Member of A.D.S.I. and has been with MTC since its birth.
Bob Corby served active duty in the 8th Infantry Division and 1st Armored Division, he completed SFAS and served in 12th Special Forces Group, and 425th Infantry (Airborne)(Long Range Surveillance) where he excelled in the craft of small unit tactics as Senior RTO, Senior Scout, Assistant Team Leader, and eventually Team Leader. He has specialized training including Combatives Instructor Level I and the renowned 4th Ranger Training Battalion Reconnaissance and Surveillance Leaders Course. Bob currently serves in 125th INF in the Battalion Scout/Sniper Platoon. He has deployed twice to OIF (2004 and 2009) as well as participated in numerous training events with foreign countries. Bob is a NRA certified instructor. He is a graduate of Sniper/Counter Sniper and Advanced Sniper as well as a POST certified Sniper instructor. Bob continues to improve his knowledge by attending numerous shooting schools included training at Sig Sauer Academy in NH, Rifles Only, FBI Basic Police Sniper-Observer, Vapor Trail Tactical, and numerous local training venues. His civilian education includes an undergraduate degree from University Detroit Mercy and graduate degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Kevin served as a Sergeant and fire team leader in the Michigan Army National Guard and US Army Reserve for 12 years, including 7 years as a 19 Delta Air Cavalry Long Range Reconnaissance Scout. Kevin is a U.S. Training Center/Academi Carbine Instructor course graduate and holds the following NRA Instructor certifications: Home Firearm Safety, Basic Personal Protection in the Home, Basic Rifle, Basic Pistol, Basic Shotgun, and NRA Range Safety Officer. He is also a certified M16/A15, Glock and shotgun armorer. Kevin has also worked as a gunsmith building precision bolt action rifles and sniper rifles for law enforcement and our Military. His experience has made him an expert in long range precision marksmanship and ammunition hand loading techniques. Kevin is a competitive shooter in high power and tactical shooting events, and has completed numerous training courses in these shooting and defensive disciplines. Kevin is also the co-owner of Gunfighter, LLC.
Guy is a U.S Army Reserve Veteran serving from 6 years as a 91D Operating room specialist (1984-1990). He now has a technical career in Automation / Controls Engineer. Guy holds a Black Belt in Shotokan Karate and former instructor. Professional credentials include: NRA Basic Pistol and Personal Protection in the Home instructor, NRA Range Safety Officer, Associate ADSI member, NRA Life Member. Multi discipline competitive shooter. (LR/3Gun/Defensive Handgun). Perpetual student in Combative Pistol, Shotgun, Carbine and Long Range. Currently serving in law enforcement.
Robs background in long range shooting started with big game and varmint hunting in the western states. With over 20 years of hand loading experience with precision rifles he has vast technical knowledge of ballistic software and modern data collection. Robs professional career as a Toolmaker has helped with the hands on precision required to build and maintain precision rifles. He is a graduate of LR Advanced course, part of our competitive training group and continues to places in top ranks in several different types of long range rifle competitive matches. Robs skills come from a non-military back ground making him our resident expert on precision rifle civilian applications. Certified NRA Range Safety Officer – Certified NRA Rifle Instructor.
David served in the Marine Corps for 5 years. His first assignment was to the Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team (FAST) Company where he received training and certification as a Combat Marksmanship Instructor and Designated Marksman. He also received specialized training in C.Q.B., additional long range marksmanship, Combat Medicine, V.B.S.S, and Helicopter-borne Operations. For the last two and a half years of his service in the Marines, he served as a Scout Sniper with the 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division where he deployed to Helmand, Afghanistan. David was also a shooter on the Marine Corps Pistol Team on two separate occasions. Upon leaving the service, David spent the next 2 and a half years providing diplomatic close protection for U.S. dignitaries in the Middle East. David is a certified NRA Instructor in multiple disciplines and has been with MTC since 2011.
