2023 Field Rifleman’s Challenge (FRC)
We are very proud to bring to Michigan a field style match. We are not aware of any other Michigan venue providing this type of competition experience.
The FRC is a precision rifle match that requires competitors to use a broad range of skills to engage targets. Stages are “blind”, meaning competitors will not see target locations prior to beginning their stage. After being provided left and right limits, the competitor will be required to locate the specified number of targets, determine their range, then engage the targets. Stage format is very similar to NRL Hunter style matches. Two-man teams or individual competitors are both allowed.
Competitors can expect 6-8 stages, team stages are 6 minutes in length, individual stages are 4 minutes. Round count will be finalized a few weeks prior to the match, expect the round count to be 50-60. Target distances will be between 300 and 1000 yards with most targets being between 400 and 650 yards.
