In the mighty white oak planted in the memorial's center (of our hearts and universe) will forever live the memories of our friends and family. In many religions and mythologies, the oak tree is a powerful symbol of strength, resilience, wisdom, and longevity. It's often associated with deities, especially those of thunder and lightning, and is considered sacred in various cultures. The circle represents the circle of life, while the small uncompleted portion of the circle represents you and I living in the present. Cremated ashes, planted into the soil, will enrich the soil which feeds the tree long after we pass. There is an ancient Egyptian expression: "A person dies twice: once when they take their final breath, and again the last time their name is spoken." Therefore the memorial is nestled between our 2 most popular ranges for maximum foot traffic exposure. Speak their name as you pass so their memories may remain alive. Clare Ward II was the first to be added to the memorial, but he won't be the last.
