Tactical Fitness Specialist

Title: Tactical Fitness Specialist
 
Primary Scope of Work:
  • Monthly Tactical Fitness Session Development: Create, refine, and maintain comprehensive monthly tactical fitness sessions which align with the Wolverine 5K tactical adventure race, MTC safety protocols, and MTC training standards.
  • Monthly Sessions will include:
    • During the months of April-October.
    • Approximately 4 hours in length. Example: 1000-1400
    • Warm-Ups:
      • Fitness Warm-ups: stretches, short jog, calisthenics, etc.
      • Marksmanship Warm-up Drills: pistol, carbine, precision rifle, all, or a combination of.
    • 2-3 stages of fire that incorporate:
      • High Intensity physical fitness for both conditioning and inducing stress shooting using any of the Wolverine 5K equipment in inventory.
      • Easily scored shooting drills which focus on weapons manipulation, accuracy, cadence, recoil management, multiple targets, positions, movements, and use of cover.
        • Tips and tricks may be given, as well as lead group discussions, but these sessions are not designed to be professional blocks of marksmanship instruction. 
      • Each stage of fire may be ran several times to improve performance and techniques. 
    • A quick non-shooting and non-physical tactical challenge. Example: KIMS game, target detection drill, fire-starting, close-range land nav, lock picking, knife throwing, random infantry skills.
    • Issue fitness and dry-fire homework.
 
Additional Scope of Work:
  • Maintain constant contact and conversation with Tactical Fitness participants during non-session time to encourage fitness and dry-fire homework, as well as meeting in the following month(s).

Candidates:
  • The ideal candidate will have military special operations experience. 
  • The candidate will have a proven track record in both fitness coaching and firearms instruction.
  • Exhibit professionalism, excellent communication skills, and self-motivated work ethic.
  • Experienced participant as a Wolverine 5K athlete or volunteer, is beneficial.
  • Must be passionate about coaching, educating, and motivating individuals to set and achieve goals.
 
Schedule:
  • Monthly: Primarily during Spring, Summer, and Fall.

Compensation:
  • $200 per 4 hour session, plus bonus.
  • Must have a minimum of 8 registered shooters per session to receive bonus.
    • Bonus:
      • 25% of tuition. (Tuition will be $50 for non-members and $40 for MTC members.)
  • Ammo allowance (9mm and .556).
  • Benefits: Complimentary MTC recreational membership.
 
Requirements:
  • You must have access to a personal phone and computer with internet connection.
  • Preferably located close to MTC for ease of commute.
  • Reliable vehicle for daily travel to MTC.
