​Course Overview

Intro to Small Unit Tactics is a 2 day tactics course for advanced shooters.

ISUT focuses on the foundation for small unit tactics, the patrol.

Students will receive instruction and practical application of:

• Patrol planning
• Patrol formations
• Individual camouflage 
• Fire and maneuver 
• Hand and arm signals
• Immediate actions to contact

This course will consist of live fire exercises in close proximity to team members and will require lite running.

Minimum skill level requirement:

• Advanced Carbine (C2) NO EXCEPTIONS.
• Land Navigation (LN1), or equivalent experience.
• Shooters must have successfully passed The MTC Carbine Standard or have the ability to pass. 
• Shooters must have a working knowledge and familiarity of the weapon they intend to use.  Any questions regarding this, contact [email protected].

Mandatory:

• Eye and ear protection
• Hat/cap, Boonie recommended 
• Semiautomatic AR/AK style Carbine/Rifle
• 5 magazines
• Chest rid or load bearing harness for ammo and water
• Clothing suitable for outdoor training
• Compass, lensatic recommended 
• Map protractor 
• Wet erase markers
• Camouflage face paint
• Note taking gear
• 300 rounds minimum
• Water

• Sun screen and bug repellent
